Biography
Rosaline Obah, originally from Cameroon and resident in the United Kingdom, is a communications professio-nal, trainer and peace practitioner who has dedi-cated her personal and professional journey to the promotion of dialogue, nonviolence and equality among human beings.
A graduate in Journalism and Mass Communica-tion from the University of Buea in Cameroon, she earned an international Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom, specializing in crisis manage-ment. Subsequently, as a Rotary Peace Fellow, she deepened her knowledge of peace and con-flict transformation at Makerere University in Uganda.
With over twenty years of experience, Rosaline Obah has worked in the fields of strategic com-munication, public relations, community deve-lopment, rights, gender issues and peacebuilding. Her work is based on the belief that communica-tion can become a decisive tool for preventing conflict, countering disinformation and fostering social cohesion.
Her commitment to peace journalism and non-violent communication is particularly significant. Through training and awareness-raising activi-ties, she has supported journalists, media profes-sionals, young leaders and members of civil so-ciety in the responsible use of language, promo-ting the principles of Peace Journalism, conflict transformation and the “Do No Harm” approach.
Her connection with Cameroon remains central to her mission. In response to the tensions and conflict that have affected, in particular, the An-glophone regions of the country, Rosaline Obah has chosen to act through training, the organiza-tion of public initiatives and the production of content aimed at dialogue, dignity and reconcilia-tion.
She has held positions of responsibility in various national and international networks.
She served as National Coordinator of the Cameroon Community Media Net-work, President of the Cameroonian Chapter of the Young African Women Congress Network, and, in 2025, was appointed Director for Policy and Advocacy of the same YAWC Network. She is also an Ambas-sador of the Institute for Economics and Peace, a Rotary Peace Fellow, and Head of Communica-tions at Ace Development and Health Consultan-cy in the United Kingdom.
Alongside her work in peacebuilding, Rosaline Obah has always placed the defence of women’s rights, the fight against gender-based violence and the promotion of inclusion at the heart of her action. Her vision of peace is not limited to the absence of conflict, but embraces equality, social justice, participation and the recognition of the dignity of every person.
For the consistency of her commitment, for her ability to transform communication into an in-strument of reconciliation, and for her work in favour of equality among human beings, Rosali-ne Obah represents a figure of great moral and civic value. Her testimony deeply reflects the message of Martin Luther King: to build a peace founded on justice, dignity and fraternity among all people.
